OFSTED
Dear Parents and Carers,

Following our graded Ofsted inspection on the 19th and 20th September 2023, we are delighted to share with you our report. The school has been graded “Good” in all areas.

The inspection was a positive, fair process and the team of inspectors recognised the hard work that has been put in over the last few years since the last inspection. A few highlights from the report are shared with you below.

-
Pupils enjoy positive relationships with each other and with staff. They say the school is like ‘one big family,’ which includes the school dog and pet tortoise. Parents speak highly of the school. They value the individual care that their children receive.

-
Pupils have positive attitudes to learning and are proud of their achievements.
-
The school has raised its expectations of pupils’ behaviour. Most pupils now live up to these.
-
The school deals with low-level disruption well so that pupils learn successfully.
-
Pupils learn a broad and ambitious curriculum. The school has considered carefully the sequencing of this curriculum.
-
In each subject curriculum, the school has identified the most important knowledge and skills that pupils should learn.
-
Pupils learn a well-devised personal, social and health education programme. They know how to keep themselves physically and mentally healthy and how to stay safe online.
-
Most pupils enjoy reading. They start learning to read as soon as they join the Reception Year. Initially, pupils read books which match closely to the sounds they have learned. As they gain confidence, pupils read books to improve their fluency. Pupils who need extra support receive it quickly.
-
The school identifies accurately the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). For some pupils with SEND, the school makes successful adaptations to the curriculum. Consequently, pupils develop their knowledge and independence well.
-
Staff are proud to work at the school.
All children let their light shine during the inspection process but most importantly, as they do, day in, day out. They showcased our school values of Compassion, Courage, Service and Excellence.

However, we are not complacent and we know that we still have plenty of work to do to develop Holy Trinity Primary further. The areas that we need to improve, which were confirmed by Ofsted, are already within our development plan.
A full copy of the report is now below and has been emailed to you. You can also click here to go to the Ofsted website.

I am sure you join us in thanking all the staff for their hard work and commitment towards a good education for your child/children.

Yours faithfully, on behalf of all the Holy Trinity staff team.
