PE – Our content, aims and concepts

PE at Holy Trinity

We are very proud of the varied sports provision that we offer our children. The school has achieved the Platinum 'Sports Mark' Award - something only a handful of schools in Somerset have achieved.

We are very involved in local sports competitions and frequently take teams from school to compete in activities such as athletics, gymnastics, football, catchball, netball, cricket and handball.

We also have a successful cheerleading and dance team (Somerset Gold Winners, 2019!)

Every term, there is a huge range of sporting activities for the children to take part in. Please enquire at the office for this term's list.

Every child from Year 3 to Year 6 has swimming lessons during school time. We use King's College pool, within walking distance and the qualified instructors lead the sessions there for our children.

We often have sixth form students with their qualified PE teachers coming into school to lead our children in their lessons - we are proud of the strong relationships we have built with King's College and Richard Huish College in particular.
