Pupil Chaplains

In June 2025 the Year 4s were invited to apply for the role of Pupil Chaplain to be trained in the role and carry on into Year 5.  Each pupil who wished to apply had to submit an application explaining what they could bring to the role and were interviewed by our RWE Lead Mrs Newman and our Chair of the Local Advocate Board, Rev Tobie Osmond.  We had so many applications we appointed 8 pupil chaplains and the other 20 pupils to the wider pupil chaplaincy team!

In July we had a commissioning service at Taunton Minister where the pupil chaplains promised their commitment to serving the school. The service was attended by Muhammed-Saddiq the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset.

The pupil chaplains set up collective worship, close our session with a “call and response” and are involved with our church services.

The pupil chaplains are: Lilith, Teo, Annie, Naomi, Daniel, Lilianna, Jayden and Karina.
